Like any good story, this one begins with a beginning. I have been playing table top RPGs, miniatures games, and board games since I was in high school, some two decades ago. During that time, there was always someone more experienced to guide me through the process of learning new rules, creating characters, and basic arithmetic. When I first ran my own TTRPGs, I borrowed books, taped together 1-inch grids printed on computer paper, and used bottle caps for good guys and baddies alike. It was all a bit rough and I made a lot of stuff up, but I had great friends with me throughout the process of learning, failing, and growing as a game master and story teller.
I will be forever grateful to anyone who let me have a seat at their table, to anyone who has trusted me to guide them through a story, and to anyone who has listened to my lengthy rants about the worlds and characters I have made up throughout the years.
It is my hope with this project, that I provide you, dear reader, with tools, adventures, and resources to guide you on your journey to running memorable games, telling resonate stories, and having a great time with friends and foes alike. It isn’t easy, but damn, is it fun.
So, here it is, the start of a journey starts with a first step. This little prototype of a printable, foldable figure. A simple proof of concept made with some paper, tape, and a face.
